Corrosion inhibitors are divided into inorganic and organic categories. Inorganic corrosion inhibitors include nitrate, nitrite, chromate, dichromate and other oxidative corrosion inhibitors; phosphate, silicate, carbonate and other non-oxidative corrosion inhibitors. Organic corrosion inhibitors include amines, aldehydes, heterocyclic compounds, imidazolines and organic sulfides. Although these corrosion inhibitors have different chemical structures, the corrosion inhibition rates in acidic media are quite large. The use effect of corrosion inhibitors is closely related to various parameters and conditions of the corrosive medium, and should be strictly selected when used. Some corrosion inhibitors are toxic and cannot be used in media related to the preparation of food. In addition, vapor-phase corrosion inhibitors (such as anti-rust paper, etc.) are also widely used to prevent atmospheric corrosion of metal products.
