Four kinds of antiseptic preservatives commonly used in paper mills
Bactericidal preservatives are mainly used to ensure that materials do not deteriorate during use by killing bacteria or making them lose their ability to grow and reproduce. Bactericidal preservatives can denature proteins in microorganisms, reduce the activity of cells, promote the death of bacteria, and can also mutate the cellular genetic genes of microorganisms or interfere with the activity of enzymes inside cells to make it difficult to reproduce.
1, organometallic compounds: such as phenylmercuric acetate, this kind of preservatives and high sterilization efficiency. However, it is highly toxic and has been banned from use;
2, chlorophenol derivatives: such as pentachlorophenol, etc., have good bactericidal effect, but still have a certain toxicity, has been restricted to use;
3, oxidants and reducing agents: such as liquid chlorine, hypochlorite, chloramine, hydrogen peroxide, bisulfite, etc., the use of large, narrow range of inhibition bacteria, currently used more in China;
4, organic bromides and organic compounds containing sulfides, hydrogen sulfur groups and benzimidazole, benzothiazole and other groups. This kind of preservative generally has the characteristics of high efficiency, low toxicity, wide sterilization, self-decomposition, etc., has been widely used in foreign countries, and has yet to be developed in China.
Use of antiseptic:
There are three methods of adding preservatives: continuous addition, one-time addition and intermittent addition. Adding at regular intervals is best. Add the amount and interval of time, in order to control the reproduction of microorganisms, do not harm the production and cause pollution, and reduce the production cost as much as possible. The place of addition should be the place where microorganisms are most easily bred. Usually at the inlet of the pulp pond or paper machine circulation return pump.
The use of preservatives can extend the shutdown cleaning cycle, improve the yield and quality of the product, maintain the filter water and service life of paper nets and blankets, and the economic benefits are very obvious.
