Formaldehyde emission grading and indoor bearing limit guidelines for wood-based panels are released as national standards
According to the standard announcement (No. 3 of 2021) issued by the State Administration of Market Supervision and the National Standards Committee on March 9, GB/T 39600-2021 "Grading of Formaldehyde Emissions from Wood-based Panels and Their Products" is under the centralized management of the National Wood-based Panel Standardization Technical Committee. " and GB/T 39598-2021 "Guidelines for Indoor Bearing Limits of Wood-based Panels Based on Limit Formaldehyde Content" were officially released and will be implemented on October 1, 2021.
The two standards of "Classification of Formaldehyde Emission of Wood-based Panels and Their Products" and "Guidelines for Indoor Bearing Limits of Wood-based Panels Based on Limit Formaldehyde Content" are the "13th Five-Year Plan" national key research and development plan project "energy saving and consumption reduction and production safety control technology in wood industry" (Project No.: 2016YFD0600700) Transformation and application of research results. The former is jointly completed by 50 units including the Wood Industry Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Forestry and Wanhua Hexiang Board Industry Co., Ltd. The latter is controlled by the Wood Industry Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Forestry, Sophia Home Co., Ltd., and Dehua Group. Co., Ltd. and other 45 units jointly completed the project.
■ GB/T 39600—2021 "Classification of Formaldehyde Emission from Wood-based Panels and Their Products"
"Grading of Formaldehyde Emissions from Wood-Based Panels and Their Products" stipulates the classification requirements, test methods and judgment rules for formaldehyde emission of indoor wood-based panels and their products. This standard divides the formaldehyde emission of indoor wood-based panels and their products into 3 grades according to the limit value, namely E1 grade (≤0.124mg/m³), E0 grade (≤0.050mg/m³) and ENF grade (≤0.025mg /m³). This standard applies to fiberboard, particleboard, plywood, blockboard, reconstituted decorative materials, laminated veneer lumber, glulam, veneer wood-based panels, wood floors, wood wall panels, wood doors and other indoor wood-based panels and their The formaldehyde emission of products is graded.
This standard is the refinement and support of the mandatory national standard GB 18580-2017 "Limits of Formaldehyde Emission in Interior Decoration Materials Wood-based Panels and Their Products". After its release and implementation, it can promote the production and promotion of wood-based panels of different environmental protection grades. and its products, can meet consumers' demand for more environmentally friendly and green wood-based panels and their products, lead industrial technological progress, and promote the green development and industrial transformation and upgrading of the wood-based panel and its products industry.

It is suitable for wood-based panels used in indoor furniture, cabinets, wooden doors, wooden wall panels, wooden floors and other wood products.
