Composition and principle of coating preservatives
Coating preservative is a kind of preservative which is non-irritating, mild to skin and non-irritating to eye mucosa. It has been widely used in various acrylic emulsions, water-based coatings and water-emulsion paints at home and abroad. Coating preservatives have very high activity against various bacteria, fungi and yeasts, and can solve a series of problems such as product demulsification, deterioration, mildew, fermentation and odor caused by fungal pollution.
Coating preservative varieties:
There are many kinds of preservatives used in coatings at home and abroad. In the early stage, the main organic mercury, organic tin, phenol and formaldehyde, etc., but due to the high toxicity to humans and animals, serious environmental pollution, some developed countries have banned their use. Coating preservatives, including isothiazolinone derivatives (e.g.
Nordes C15 bactericidal preservatives), benzimidazolates (NordesEPW), Dawihill-75, 1,
2-benzoisothiazolin-3-one (BIT) and a variety of other preservatives.
The types of coating preservatives are differentiated according to the types of coating industry:

2, according to the use of coating dispersion medium: solvent-based coating; Waterborne paint (emulsion paint, water-soluble paint).
